Thankam Joseph

Proprietor , Odds and Ends

Thankam Joseph started Odds & Ends as a unique gift/ book shop in 1988. She is a Mathematics graduate who went on to study cost accountancy. Later, she set up this shop because of her passion for meeting people and to work with arts & crafts and artists. She has worked closely with Crafts Council of Kerala and Paramparik Karigar. Thankam used to write articles for Inside Outside and Design Today. Odds & Ends have a branch in Taj Malabar too. Odds & Ends have diversified to events, furnishings & fixtures and interior accessories. Thankam is in the process of setting up a co-operative society for skilled craftsmen to re-invent Kerala crafts. Another plan is to start an art centre where artists can express their thoughts and talents.
