Sanjaya is the Managing Director of Kancor Ingredients Ltd., and a Promoter Director of OmniActive Health Technologies Ltd.
KANCOR is in the Natural Extracts, Essential Oils and Natural Colours space. OmniActive Health Technologies Ltd is in branded Natural APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and PFIs (Pharmaceutical Formulation Intermediates) for Nutrition, Health and Wellness products.
He joined The Bombay Oil Industries Ltd, a family concern (The parent Company) in Mumbai as a Sales Representative in 1980 and worked up various levels to the position of Chief Executive of the Botanicals Extracts Division of the company. In 1990 he has been appointed as the Managing Director of Kancor. In 2007, he set up Omniactives. Both the companies have grown significantly under his leadership, operating globally, the turnover of the cos is Rs.400 crores pa for Kancor and Rs.200 cr pa for Omniactives. Both companies are leaders in their field of Natural Ingredients, extraction, isolation and purification, covering Food Ingredients, Personal Care ingredients and Health care ingredients.
He has played important roles on associations and industry bodies as,
-Past Vice Chairman, Spices Board,
-Past President – India Pepper & Spice Trade Association,
-Past Chairman – All India Spices Exporters Forum,
-Past Chairman of CII Kerala.
-Member Southern Council of CII
He was instrumental in introducing online trading activities at India Pepper & Spice Trade Association while he was the President. He is also on the Board of several companies and has successfully promoted and closed a Venture Capital Business. He has presented number of papers at different Forums and institutions he has served as an active member of the organizing committee for the Nutraceuticals Summit held in India, annually.
A commerce and economics graduate by training, he did a Diploma in Tax Management from J Bajaj Institute of Management and Executive Education programs at IIM A and Stanford University- Graduate Business School.
