Mr. George Thomas is the Founder and Managing Director at CapAleph Advisors India Private Limited. Previously, Mr. Thomas was a Partner at India Value Fund Advisors Private Limited where he served from 2002 to September 2011. Mr. Thomas worked at Powercell Battery India Ltd. in 2000, and Director of Pfizer Pharmaceutical India Pvt. Ltd. from 1998 to 2000. He started his career at Hindustan Unilever Ltd. in 1992, where he spent 16 years in various capacities at its affiliates in India and the United Kingdom. Mr. Thomas also spent his professional life at Brooke Bond India. He left Hindustan Lever Limited in 1998 to complete two successful assignments in restructuring distressed businesses in India. As Director for the Adam’s confectionery division of Warner Lambert India, he successfully restructured a business that had suffered substantial losses after an unsuccessful change in sourcing strategy. Mr. Thomas took up an assignment as the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of BPL Soft Energy businesses. Mr. Thomas completed his post-graduation in History from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.
