TiE to hold Kerala’s Largest Entrepreneur’s Convention

The fourth Edition of Kerala’s largest Conference on Entrepreneurship, ‘TiEcon Kerala 2015′ will be held on 6th and 7th November at Le Meridian Convention Centre, Kochi. The conference aims to assist budding entrepreneurs in incubation, formation and early growth.
Announcing the Registration Campaign, Mr. A.V. George, President, Tie Kerala said that the Conference is a part of TiE’s sustained crusade for the state to materialize the goal ‘An Entrepreneur at Every Home’ by 2020. TiE Kerala is a member of the Task Force of the State Planning Board constituted to promote Self Employment. The theme for the conference would be ‘Driving Entrepreneurship through disruption.’ Industry leaders from across geographies, decision makers, Start-up entrepreneurs Social entrepreneurs and student entrepreneurs will participate in the event, More than 100 speakers would address over two thousand delegates expected to participate in the at the meet, he said.
The conference will feature Key note sessions on Driving Entrepreneurship in Family Business, the Next-gen Entrepreneurs, Branding and Social Media for Business, Impact of Urbanisation on Entrepreneurship, Smart or Size Innovation and Growth and Making disruption your Competitive Edge. Forty sessions will be held in six concurrent tracks namely IT-Internet of things, Responsible Tourism, Women in Leadership, Re-inventing Leadership, Innovation and Disruption and Inception to exit-value creation stories. The conference could be an entrepreneur’s biggest opportunity to network with the leaders in business world, the organizers said.
A series of one to one sessions and Pitch festival, Idea Cauldron, Seek a Mentor and Growth Coaches sessions have been designed to provide the delegates with opportunities to meet and interact with investors, mentors and leaders. The Conference is expected to be a unique and effective platform for various stake-holders of a business venture to come together, enabling them to scout and identify project ideas, to seek or provide the specific inputs, to work together in teams and to provide mentoring support. Engaging sessions would be held to share alternate methodologies and routes to meet specific situations, personal stories and expert opinions. All these would offer unique insights for young entrepreneurs. TiEcon Kerala will also feature exclusive sessions for women and student entrepreneurship to draw in more educated youth and women in to the industry.

TiEcon Kerala 2015 Annual Awards in four categories will be presented. The four categories for the award are Entrepreneur of the year, Emerging Entrepreneur of the year, Start-up Entrepreneur of the year and Woman Entrepreneur of the year.
The fourth edition has also introduced a unique Startup Pavilion which will offer Free Stalls to selected startups from all the incubators and accelerators across Kerala and various Industrial Parks to display their idea, products and processes. They will have opportunities to get exposed to Angels, VCs, Mentors and Growth Coaches who will interact with them, evaluate their products and processes and also offer mentorship/coaching. Few of the top players from them will be awarded substantial cash prices and will go on both days. This special event will be organized with the support of Terumo Penpol, Startup Mission Government of Kerala and Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC).
