ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
Japan is one of the largest foreign investors in India, the biggest provider of foreign aid and plays a big role in Automobile and Pharmaceutical sectors. India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki with 40% market share ,was a govt owned company and today is a subsidiary of a Japanese company .The two countries are natural infrastructure partners, and some of the greater infrastructure success stories in India, such as Delhi’s metro system, was financed by Japan and uses Japanese technology.

Further, despite wide demographic divides between India and Japan, there are several common grounds in the core cultural concepts of India and Japan like family, community, respect for elders, loyalty to employees, family-owned businesses, and hierarchy. All these encouraging features have created several critical ‘win-win’ opportunities that form the core areas of collaboration between the two. This is specially so since the new central government has identified Indo Japanese collaboration as a Key Result Area for development.

The presentation will focus on potential areas of partnership that if, fully implemented, could boost Indian GDP, Open up large scale entrepreneurship opportunities over the next decade and in the process revitalize Japan’s corporate economy. The focus areas are:-
